Title: Black Duck Tracker
Post by: Anas rubripes on February 11, 2008, 09:56:21 AM
Hey everyone,
Ducks Unlimited has redone their website which hosts the black duck tracker.  I've attached the new link below where you can track black duck hens with radio or satellite transmitters.  The radio transmitters are to determine wintering habitat use and the satellite transmitters are to detemine wintering habitat use, flyway scale movements, and identify key breeding areas.  Locations for each bird are updated weekly.  Also, watch the satellite birds closely around the end of March as that's when they will likely be in New Jersey one day and the Boreal Forest in Canada the next.  Hope you all find it interesting! ;D

It's a very good story. In this regard, I think it's really helpful.
