Shamong Goose
« on: November 02, 2014, 05:44:57 PM »
Hey Guys,

I am new to the forum and waterfowl hunting, this is my second year. Has anyone ever hunted goose in shamong? I have gotten the ok to hunt a farmers field. There is still soybeans that need to be cut. But I have been scouting the area and haven't seen any geese around. I am getting nervous because i'm thinking there aren't gonna be any. The farmer did tell me people use to hunt before and would limit out in a half hour, but I'm not sure how long ago this was.

Any suggestions would be helpful?

Sounds like the birds have found another food plot closer to where they are roosting.  Only way to find out is scout to find where they are roosting and then follow them in the direction their going when they get up ... Good Luck

Write articles very well offline. It's like I read a lot.
