This was my first ever attempt at painting decoys. I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out. I don't think it will take much to chip the paint off of them which is unfortunate. If I can find some Herter's foam bodies really cheap to burlap, I'd like to try that next. Satin definately came out too shiny I feel except for the bills. It did however turn out nice by putting a few flat layers over it which gave it a lot of extra depth. I didn't get the eyes bright enough either but it was the only yellow super gloss fingernail polish I could find. Regardless, hunting season is only 3 months away, next project, decking out my new boat!
